Event Goals: The Necessary Funds to Recruite and Train 20 Additional Volunteers
In the summer of 2007 there were over 340 children in Wapello County adjudicated as children in need of assistance due to abuse and neglect. Only 10% had a CASA volunteer to focus on their needs, to be their voice in court, and to be the constant in their life. A CASA volunteer plays a vital role in the lives of our community's most vulnerable children.
By joining the Forgotten Children Campaign, you can help close the gap by making a financial doation to fund a trained, committed advocate into the life of a local child who needs a safe, permanent home.
